Our Kindergarten Curriculum

Our program is built upon Kurikulum Merdeka Fase Fondasi, enriched with a play-based, inquiry-driven, and theme-integrated learning approach, while being grounded in Islamic values. Through meaningful learning experiences, children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, discover, and develop strong character in a joyful and nurturing environment.

Thematic Learning

Every term, children explore the world through meaningful thematic blocks from Friends, Family & Me to Space and the Future. Each theme weaves together literacy, numeracy, science, arts, and social development into one connected learning experience. Children don’t just learn subjects, they explore ideas, ask questions, and make sense of the world around them.

STEAM Integration

Creativity and critical thinking are built into every theme. Through hands-on projects and open-ended exploration, children engage with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics in ways that feel natural and exciting, building real skills through real experiences.

Literacy & Phonics

English is developed through two pathways running side by side: contextual immersion within every thematic unit and a structured Phonics programme that builds phonemic awareness and early reading skills systematically. This approach is designed for young English as Foreign Language learners, ensuring children develop confidence in English at their own pace.

Islamic Values at the Core

Faith is not a separate subject, it is woven into everything. Each day, children grow in aqidah, akhlak, and everyday Islamic habits through routines, dua, stories, and learning experiences that connect them to Allah as Creator and to one another as a community.

Independence & Life Skills

At KGS Kindergarten, independence is a daily practice. From the moment children arrive, they take ownership of their day: hanging up their bags, tidying their workspace, preparing their materials, and caring for their belongings. Through consistent routines and loving encouragement, children grow in four areas of independence: self-care, responsibility for belongings, social independence and learning readiness all grounded in the Islamic values of self-discipline.

7 Muslim Kreativa

Every learning experience at KGS Kindergarten is designed to nurture our 7 Muslim Kreativa learner profile, growing children who are:
Faithful Thinkers · Noble in Character · Self-Disciplined · Curious Learners · Healthy in Mind & Body · Organized & Responsible · Impactful to Community
These are not just values we teach, they are qualities we live and practice together, every day.
